Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity wall insulation is regarded as one of the most effective ways to save on energy costs as over a third of all the heat lost in an uninsulated home escapes through the walls. Cavity wall insulation lowers your energy costs and helps reduce harmful emissions being released into the environment.

Our installers are accredited, approved ECO installers and are experts in cavity wall installation. We use only the top graded materials for our Cavity Wall installations:

  • – We exclusively use EPS Silver Bead which is the very latest technology in cavity wall insulation.
  • – This new product is so superior to previous methods used that we regularly extract the inefficient outdated products of the past and refil using EPS Silver Bead
  • – Accreditation – EPS Silver Bead has been independently assessed for thermal performance, design and installation of the System according to BS EN ISO 69462, BR4433, BS 52505, BS 81026, BS 82157, BS EN 1996-1-18, UK NA to BS EN 1996-1-19

We have been at the forefront of this extremely effective measure since 2015 and have completed thousands of installations across Scotland.

How Do I Know If I Have Cavity Walls?

In general, houses built from the 1990s onwards have wall insulation to keep the heat in, but if your house is older than that, it may not have any wall insulation at all.

Houses in the UK mostly have either solid walls or cavity walls:

If your house was built after the 1920s, it is likely to have cavity walls. A cavity wall is made up of two walls with a gap in between, known as the cavity; the outer leaf is usually made of brick and the inner layer of brick or concrete block.

Homes built from the mid-1990s onwards are likely to have had cavity wall insulation completed at the build stage, however, if the guarantee has expired (which we can check) we can extract the old less efficient material and refill with the latest EPS Silver Bead.

Installation

The process for install is simple, takes less than a day, and is conducted from the external areas of the property. Once complete it is extremely difficult to identify if cavity wall insulation has been completed.

This new product is so superior to previous methods used that we regularly extract the inefficient outdated products of the past and refill using EPS Silver Bead!
