Having Internal Wall Insulation professionally installed can reduce the amount of heat being lost in the property by up to 45%. This could result in energy bill savings of up to £270 according to the Energy Saving Trust. Internal wall insulation is carried out inside your home to reduce the cost of heating it.
This insulation is particularly effective in flats and smaller homes and full funding is usually secured in flats with Electric heating as the main fuel source, provided the individual meets the ECO funding criteria.

What is internal wall insulation?

Installation
There are two main types of Internal Wall Insulation. Insulation boards are either fixed to the walls or a timber frame can be constructed with an insulating material placed between the timber.
The install is usually very straightforward and usually is complete within a day.
The choice of technique will depend upon how your property is constructed. Internal Wall Insulation installers will be able to advise which solution is best.

ECO 3 Funding
With the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), you could be eligible for support from an energy supplier to upgrade your heating system or to insulate your home.
This scheme was launched in early 2013 and is in currently available with a scheme extension, ECO3 which is now live and available for customers in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
